Adam Jones Chef Spotlight
Adam Jones Is Top Chef at La Plancha.
La Plancha is a lifetime of delicious memories of Mexican and Colombian street fare, plus Dave Snyder’s mom’s homemade recipes—all brought to the table by the talented Chef Adam. Adam started his culinary career at age fifteen—learning the ropes at one of Jekyll Island’s favorite restaurants, Latitude. As a young adult, he moved to St. Simons to run the kitchen at Chelsea’s. An ad from Chef Dave in the local paper launched his next career move, and for the last thirteen years Adam has been a key part of the Halyards Restaurant Group family. “I’ve made a career with Chef Dave,” he says, “because around here, we take care of each other. Dave creates a great work environment that I’m proud to be a part of.”
Tanner Rogers is General Manager at LaPlancha.
Tanner Rogers began his restaurant career on St. Simons Island with Brogen’s North, working in the kitchen and as a server for nine years while he finished high school and completed a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Georgia Southern University. After an internship at The King and Prince, Tanner worked full time for them for five years and was promoted to be outlets manager over the resort’s entire food and beverage team.
When Tanner heard about an opportunity at La Plancha, he jumped at the chance to work for Dave Snyder. “Dave’s reputation precedes him—he’s known as someone who is great to work for and as a person who takes care of those who work for him. He runs his company like I would run mine, and I really want to be a part of that experience. So far, it has been awesome to work in this environment, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn from Dave and work with the whole team.”
